Call for outstanding international students (IGP-C, admission of April 2025)

Call for outstanding international students (IGP-C, admission of April 2025)

I am seeking the applicants of International Graduate Program (C), who are interested in the graduate study in the field of water environment at Tokyo Institute of Technology. In our research team (laboratory) at Tokyo Institute of Technology, we are conducting a range of research on Environmental Science and Engineering including development of novel water and wastewater treatment technologies for emerging contaminants, physico-chemical removal of PFAS, advanced anaerobic digestion, non-target screening method development for dissolved organic matters and contaminants, and various other studies that contribute to sustainable development (for more detailed research topics, please visit our laboratory webpage: https://www.titech-fujiilab.jp/research/)

This is a graduate program for outstanding students from abroad to pursue master degree (in a master’s curriculum) or doctoral/ph.D degree (in a doctoral curriculum). Applications of the International Graduate Program (C) for admission of April next year usually open around fall period (https://www.titech.ac.jp/english/admissions/prospective-students/graduate-programs/igp-c). Website will be updated to 2025 admission version perhaps in July or August. In the last year (admission of 2024 April), the application period was from Mid-August to Mid-October (for spring enrollment). We expect same period for this year.

Note that this IGP(C) is not funded by any scholarship. So, you are either self-funded student or, if scholarship is necessary, needed to be funded by some scholarships (e.g., Japanese government MEXT scholarship embassy recommendation [https://www.titech.ac.jp/english/international-student-exchange/prospective-students/scholarships/mext-embassy], [https://www.studyinjapan.go.jp/en/smap-stopj-applications-research.html] etc). If you are interested in this graduate program for your higher study at Tokyo Institute of Technology, please feel free to contact to Manabu Fujii (fujii.m.ah@m.titech.ac.jp) at anytime. Note that it generally take some time for preparation of application (e.g., discussing research plan), so contact to host researcher before August will be recommended. I am looking forward to hearing from you. You can also check our IGP students in the lab member list of our webpage.

Best regards,
