International collaboration

In our laboratory, but we receive international students and young researchers (mainly graduate students and postdoctoral researchers) from Indonesia, China, Egypt, Cambodia and other countries to promote international environment. We strive to create a diverse educational and research environment based on the belief that the diversity of different values, culture and ways of thinking is important for generating new research ideas.

Outside of the laboratory, we have collaboration with more than 10 overseas researchers in eight countries. We believe that human resources with a global perspective are indispensable for the future society, not only through joint research, but also through education and research that addresses various water environmental issues particularly in developing countries.。

E-JUST was established as part of ODA with the aim of developing excellent human resources in science and engineering field in Africa and the Middle East (Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Technical Cooperation, 2008-). It has the characteristics of Japanese style education system such as small number of students and research center. Tokyo Tech’s civil engineering department is in charge of environmental engineering and supports educational research and management. Fujii also supports several tasks.
